Apple has officially announced the release date for iOS 18.1, bringing the much-anticipated AI features to the platform. The iOS 18.1 AI update is set to roll out next week, introducing “Apple Intelligence” to iPhone 15 Pro and newer models. While users can expect this AI integration soon, the ChatGPT-powered Siri update will arrive at a later, yet-to-be-determined date.
The company also revealed that alongside the iOS 18.1 AI update, enhanced hearing health features for AirPods Pro 2 will be released, further showcasing the integration of Apple Intelligence.
This update marks the first introduction of Apple Intelligence to devices such as the iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and the upcoming iPhone 16 series. Features include Writing Tools, AI-powered text and notification summaries, photo cleaning tools, and smart replies for emails and messages, among other enhancements.
When Will AI-Enhanced Siri Be Available?
Announced earlier at WWDC, the ChatGPT-integrated Siri is still in development, with its release scheduled for a future date. Apple has yet to specify when users can expect this feature to be available.
